could be , why do we have vehicle recall information on there & yet there is never any on it ?:D:D

Ooh not had any of those then? We trialled the system (well for about 3-4 weeks after they finally got round to installing it!!!!) and it was binned after that and prior to the big rollout. Only had one recall item crop up.

Peugeot 406 there is a problem with the fan motor which may cause the unit to overheat and the car to catch fire. Not really part of the test unless it happens to go up in smoke whilst you're testing it (at which point you show them the advisory on the VT40 (also got printed on a VT32 after the test!!!!) and say didn't you take it in for the recall then, at which point they look at you blankly and say they never got a letter.:?

More of that pointless irrelevant garnish I suspect. They probably looked through and found that 95% is in no way related to the test and couldn't tie in enough recalls to specific batches of vehicles anyhow.

I dare say the main agents involved would soon get fed up of the phone calls along the lines of "has my car got a recall for such and such?" and having to reply either it got fixed 10 years ago or more likely that recall doesn't relate to your car anyway.

Let's face it they can't get the VSI right for a good number of cars so why would this be any different?

If you feel you're missing out though they're all listed on VOSA's website and there's some belters.

My question would be. Why do you list the same suspension VSI for the latest fiesta as the older model despite them both being totally different setups(movement allowed in suspension top assemblies front and rear)?

That or how long does it take you to add a brake testing weight bearing in mind you've got 3 years from the car leaving the factory to us first testing it? Mercedes C class coupe and newer Vauxhall corsa anyone?):?

Or did Volkswagen stop making certain models between certain years or do I seem to get a lot of hallucinations in to test? Please help 'cos I'm deeply confused.;)

So why can't "WE" access the VOSA WEBSITE from our VTS DEVICE to "view vehicle recalls".....?....I don't have internet access at work,so do VOSA expect me to yoyo 8 mile each way to do my job properly (at my expence)? to use a computer system  which my other  halves "employer" gave to her..?????????..   If we can access i apologise, but no one from VOSA has said and I don,t remember a SN..:?..

Yeah,

How about,

We can access the VSI info but are unable to print it? This would be extremely useful.

We don't get enough vt32's because "fag packets"..lol..are still available without requesting any more on line..............."Advise Advise pass and advise"order vt32's by the  hundreds maybe one day VOSA will listen to our "ADVISE"....but remember we need to put advisory items on the system....or risk the dreaded 4:2:2.....?

Rather pointless removing fuel type and year of registration and I keep getting asked for either or both by whoever's booking the test out at work especially on private plated cars. Would've been far more productive of them to redesign the VT30 and VT40 and get rid of the bull that both seem to carry.

Whilst they're at it they might as well tidy up the RFR's on the computer especially the ones that look like somebody got bored halfway through the job and cut and pasted in from the test manual.

On the subject of updates is it just me or has anyone else seemed to notice the machine is getting slower and slower with every one they do?
