I wouldn't tell the help desk this...Don't think SIEMENS would be very impressed either...

hey mate,
im not 100% sure on that, all i work in is the place where the machines go when they are swapped out. If there any issues with the software itself best to deal with siemens.
but i know there was a major bug found a couple of weeks back led to 200+ machines getting called back LOL

Hi mr-beanz,
Welcome to this forum, We would Appreciate any Technical Information regarding Issues that affect the normal running of the system.
Just a quickee? In the Bean Counter Department, Why does a PRS Test Count as Two Initial Tests, When Only One Has Been carried Out?
I normally test up to 8 vehicles per day, So If 4 of them require a bulb wiper, or headlamp adjustment, Then the System counts them as Two Initial Tests, (12)
This Then is Recorded on the system and results in an "Abnormal Value!" Resulting In Unnessesary Visits from VOSA.
In The Real World of Issuing Statisticts To Government, And To Avoid the 4-2-2 Scenario, We have been advised to record everything!!
Is there any proposal pending to actually Resolve this Issue ?
Regards, Wes.

Do you carry your smart card near your mobile phone ? I've heard a few cases where the 'memory' on the card as been affected because of this.

| I know you tried another smart card, have you tried the spare ? You may find that it is the "cleanest" card to hand...Alternatively order another "new smartcard",then you have replaced everything.

Have been having card reader problems since Nov. last year.
So far I have had 4 card readers and two complete systems yet I still have problems getting it to read my(or other NT's) card.
Seimens have told me now to wrap the card reader in Foil! (Faraday Cage).
Any one else have problems with theirs?
I've tried all the usual tricks, the only way it will operate is to unplug the reader, insert card and then plug it in, this fix works 50% of the time, but the small power plug and socket are not designed for this and I'm not happy doing it.
What can I do?
