Any excessive corrosion with 30 cm of a brake component mounting point will fail, in your case thats going to be the master cylinder mounting point or servo, if it has one, (it may have been modified)

fist i shold introduce myself, i go by the name of eddie (or edy) on the forums and have recently brought a land rover series 2. i live in hodge hill birmingham.
right back to the problem, i have recently brought a land rover series 2 but it has a ammount of rot in the corner of the baulkhead, i have been told if i clean it up the protect it i can just rivit a plate over the hole instead of going to the trouble of welding it. i would like to know if this would alow it to pass an MOT so thought you guys were the best to ask. all opinions appriciated
