Just re-read your post and the fairy liquid bottle may be ok providing it is easily operated and clears the screen properly.

It's last mot was done with a fairy liquid bottle and a piece of pipe (not by me). As an added problem the bus is 6 volt so any washer system would probably have to be manually operated (as on all later splittys).

My question is do i need a washer system or do the origin or age of the bus make it exempt?

Any help with this would be really appreciated.
