"Exhaust system has a major leak of exhaust gases (7.1.2a)"

And I would have expected this to cause a high lambda reading, and hence an emissions test failure.

Was an emissions test actually carried out? Have you got an emissions printout?

"Nearside Front outer cill suspension component mounting prescribed area is excessively corroded (2.4.A.2)"

I stand to be corrected but I wouldn't have thought that the front of an outer sill would be within the prescribed area of a suspension mounting point.

The first sounds like a long winded description of a worn out track rod end, but it could mean the inner not the outer? get a mate to shake the steering side to side to confirm where the play is? the anti roll bar links are a fairly standard Mazda wear item, but be warned they're a pig to get off in one piece so you might have to bite the bullet and get some new ones! the rears are about £95 per side and the fronts £46 per side for the parts from a dealer retail plus fitting. so might be worth ringing round motor factors to see if "pattern" ones are available.
