Thats OK, it failed on a few other things as well, wiper,wheel bearings & brake balance.

If you think it is wrong, book it in to a VOSA testing station for an appeal. You will get your money back if it passes.

With a seperate chassis, the sills are not structual or supportive with regards suspension mountings.

Looks like your tester is wrong once again. :X

depends on whats mounted near the holes,seperate or not. seatbelts and anchor points for instance,they will be mounted to the body not the chassis.what has it failed on?sills rotten etc aint listed as a failure,has to be linked to a cause be it belts/body mounts whatever.post the reason and can maybe give you a better idea.

My cars just failed on rusty sills and to be fair there are a lot of holes, the thing is my car is an old american model built on a seperate chassis so was surprised to get a failure. I still intend to get the sills tidied up though. What do others think?:)
