I personally can't understand why reverse light(s) are not "testable items"..They show an intention to move in the opposite direction to normal travel.I think they are more of a safety issue than fog lights,or something minor hanging from a rearview mirror lets face it they're fitted to every modern car, must be a reason.... .. How often do your reverse lights (automatically) come on in comparison to your fogs, which only come on "if" selected by the driver.. Last edited on Thu Mar 20th, 2008 10:26 pm by big..E.

Reverse light is not needed or testable for MOT.

I have an issue with my reversing light where the switch on the gearbox doesn`t work.
I was planning to just wire in a switch on the dashboard to make the reverse light work ?
a) Is reversing Lights part of the MOT ?
b) If so, is the above and acceptable solution ?
By the way its a D Reg Peugeot 205.
Any help appreciated
Thanks in Advance
