Amanda, as long as the cars are not reversing out onto a road, and there is provision to turn the vehicle around such that it can join the road in a forward direction, it shouldn't be a problem.
An industrial site is not considered road, and nor is the carpark at the front of a garage. HTH

Assuming that you or your husband would want to become the 'Authorised Examiner' for this test station, there is a lengthy process to go through with VOSA.
This is a very serious and important step so I would think that your first port of call should be for you to contact VOSA and gather all of the information that you need directly from them.

my husband and i would like to buy an mot station which is up and running with two testers on site. we understand that we would have to suspend this untill all relavant paper work was completed.
The garage at present is such that a car drives in and reverses out. But if we took over do the new rules mean that we would have to make a new exit straight ahead? Can any one answer this question for me ? Many thanks amanda
