We have had numerous handbrake cable snap during the MOT test.

It's not our fault. It's down to the condition of the vehicle.

We tell the presenter they are extremely lucky that it happened under test conditions - and not in a life threatening situation out on the road.
They are usually glad of this, and want us to repair it as soon as we can.

We have just been doing the brake roller test when the brake pipe came off during the test.  Whose responsibility is this?

I remember VOSA telling us that if we were to blow the engine up suring the emissions test, it would be our responsibility if it was in the MOT Bay - just wondered if the same applied in the above case?

Thanks
