You could set up your own MOT test station...
A lot of expense, and a lot of paper work involved.
Enquire at your local VOSA office.

I don't think there's a way around it Lenny.
You have to be sponsored / nominated by a VTS.

Evening chaps.
Ok, my dilemma is this: ive worked for myself most of my life, either driving or playing with cars here and there. But i wanted to train as an MOT tester. However i dont know anyone with an MOT station to sponsor me, and even though i can pay for my own training this is my stumbling block.
Is there any way round this???
Do VOSA run courses so i could qualify without actually being sponsored by anyone???
Thanks for the help.
