took it for a blast got it to 110 degrees but still failed, however the next door neighbour of the other testing station watched it being tested and he said they were revving the nuts of it to get it through.

Guess we`ve been here before, Get Trade Plates out, and take the vehicle for a dam good blast! then check emissions.

| Having tested at both a Peugeot and a Citroen dealer,I can say that you virtually have to red line these engines to get the cat hot enough to work efficiently,I suspect thats where the difference is occurring .

This is a first for me but probably not for you guys, so trader comes in with Citroen Saxo, sails through MOT until the emissions test reading came in at 0.7 on the CO (should be 0.3), a bit miffed he took it away to get fixed, anyway he has been back twice to check emissions with no improvement.
However today he re appeared with an emmisions test print out from a local mOT centre showing that had passed no readings shown (bit weird that). I tried the emmisions again still no improvement. In the end I advised him to go to the MOT centre for a full mot. By the way the other centre is running a DGA 1800
My question is how come the other centre can get it below 0.3 ?
