Sorry mate, joking look at the number plate issue we had with VOSA, one does need to ask sometimes what to expect, they rarely get things right do they?

Got ours on Sat morning, we're in the AMBER with a score of 640. Letter doesn't explain much at all and doesn't say what the score is about. On the reverse side of the letter there's a graph vertical side shows amount of garages - horizontal shows score 0 - 1500 or something like that. By what I could see the LOWER your score is better your rated.

On our risk assesment all went well enough. Was our local VE which I've know for last 25 years and he used to be one of my teachers at tech college way back when I started so was a relief that it was someone we knew. Pulled us up on a few things all office/administration stuff - some special notices we'd not printed off - a poster we'd not put up and now lost and the boss hadn't been doing quality control on me. Years ago befor computorisation we were told we didn't have to do quality control as boss was the AE/tester and I was only other tester so therefor QC was done by 6 monthly visit by VE. We thought it would still be the same on computerisation so never did it.

All in all we're happy with the amber decission and getting the odd visit from them is more than fine by us. Infact we much prefer a visit and enjoy picking they're brains about things and them giving any advice on any bad habbits we've picked up. In my opinion (not that thats worth anything) trying to do the checks over the phone is plain silly and a very backward step.

I was led to believe that VOSA posted them all out yesterday - most VTS in this area have had them today

Does anybody out there have a new topic to discuss as the brake discs are now a bit long winded?
