it could be theres no tester there till tuesday. And the person who repaired your car at the garage is not a tester himself so therefore it has to be retested by the tester to issue pass certificate.
There may be unusual reasons why the retest cannot be done until Tuesday.
ie Sole Nominated Tester gone on holidays, etc
But if they are testing, then it is bad customer relations not to squeeze the car in for the partial retest. It wouldn't take long and could easily be done in between other tests.
Re-check with your test station to clarify the reason why they can't do the retest for a few days...
A partial retest is required to confirm that the repairs and any associated components that may have been disturbed meet the MOT requirements. A retest on a vehicle that has remained at the Test Station for repairs will be free of charge.
19/hey guys, i took my car in for an mot yesterday (19/10/06) it failed on a tyre and suspension bushes, the work has been carried out by the garage that tested the car but the guy in the garage has said that he cannot re test the car until tuesday, surely if the work has been carried out by the garage that tested it it shouldnt need a retest? can you guys help please
