Hi Mark

on your city & Guilds certificates you should have a long string of letters and numbers including your date of birth, normally across the bottom, unless they have changed over the years, go online to City & Guilds and ask them to check their records for you, that I think is your best bet

Not wanting to rain on your parade but I put a potential candidate through the exam and some of the questions were horrendous and nothing to do with the MOT Test, examples such as electrical connections for caravans. He only got 30 per cent.

VOSA don't like non qualified mechanics being testers which is why the exam is so tough.

Hi guys, there are a few of the Hilliers books recommended on this site and so far I can see that there are books 1, 2 & 3 available.  Can anyone recommend which version I should purchase??  Thanks in advance. ;)

All the answers are in

Hilliers Fundamentals of Motor Vehicle Technology

It's 500+ pages of quite boring stuff, some of it is relevent, some not.

If you can't find it, I can sell you a copy, I've read it once, once was enough..:D;)
