The building is not up yet, its at ground level yet, the way forward is going to be two rbts I think.

| Not really the same but I know of one VTS that has class 4 and class 7 in differant buildings on the same site using 2 RBT's but one VTS device (Not good when you have to run through the rain to log on !!

Any chance you could post a couple of digi photos of the present layout, and where you want the Class 4 bay to go ?

The consensus (that spelt right) of opinion seems to be that its got to be in the same building with no dividing wall. Thanks, stealth, I thought I would try and find out what if any trends existed accross the country.

Might be a local issue - you might want to contact your VE for a quick advisory visit.
However, if you are going to install the Class 4 ramp alongside the existing Class 7 you should - depending on the exact layout - be able to use the existing RBT for both classes.
If the two bays are going to be positioned side by side then you need a distance of 3.6 metres between centre lines of the two bays, with an all round working clearance of 0.5 metres round the new hoist.
Where is your beam tester located at present. If it's at the front of the existing bay you should be able to extend the rails across the front of the Class 4 hoist.
