No Not necessisarily, In the letter to VOSA, Tomorrow!  Explain the transition to ATL, They Have to take This into consideration, coz you are not going to waste money updating Noah`s equipment, Are You?

The letter of explanation is a Must! However, Any New Transition proposals, Should have been notified in writing to your local Area Office, before. Hey? don`t worry.

Get the wording on that letter Right and there are Not so many issues are there?

Wes.

The 14 days notice one was for the Rbt,the stop sensors were stuck down(spring broke).

We're due to be building a new workshop shortly and all the equpment we have got now(apart from the new ega/dsm)is all being replaced with an atl,so he doesnt really want to spend money unncessacerly on the old stuff....But as you say it needs to meet there standards for the time being....

smack on back of hand for that Smart Card error Whoops! = Points!

14 Days notice? Seems Your Boss needs a good Kick Up The Rectum!

Have a look at the Testing Station requirements in The Manuals frequently, Inform Him of His Obligations Weekly if necessary, eg; grit on rollers, equipment calibration dates, any sensible New requirements, eg; 3 metre box grid behind rollers,

Don`t forget Emissions Testing Equipment needs updating 2008.

Make Him send a letter to Local Area Office, Tomorrow! Explaining Himself. (this helps)

Have a meeting With Him and remind him of all the obligations for You to be able to carry out Your Job Satisfactorily.

If You Have everything required by Vosa, then You can carry out your testing more proficiently, Earn You more Bonus and Him More Cash!

Good Luck, Wes.

ps; after all its Your Living.

Well as guessed our VE turned up unannouced at 8.30 this morning, tagging along with him was a suit from head office...

!st cockup on my part...Left my smartcard in the vts pc...And he found it....never have b4 ,why 2day of all days...

After talking with my boss for about 2 hours he grabbed me and duly took me down to my office, asked a few questions about fallback and sat etc, then aked for the 2 Et books we have...so opens our floor safe,to be greeted by 2 floating soggy lumps of paper, which used to be our ET books....OOPS

He pointed out to me that i had been failing to many tyres...WTf ,if there below the rquirements there gonna fail....And since the 1st of oct my number plate failure rate has risen quite abit also...

2 hrs l8r he decides to ask me a few questions about testing and pointed out a few thing which need attention.  In this time ive lost 2 mots which were booked in,luckily we managed to rebook them for l8r in the day...

So we now have a list of items that require attention, one within 14 days...so he will be back...
