Thanks stealth for the info il let him know and see what he thinks. He has a garage that will sponser him but the garage is in a s*** state and has been told it needs alot of work done to it before it can sponser him. so personally i think he would be better looing else where. i was wondeering though is there and where that specialises in testing mot testers??

| He will need to be sponsored by an MOT station - maybe he could come to some arrangement to do part time testing somewhere.

Hi speedy
Your father-in-law needs to contact the local VOSA office & inform them that he wishes to resume testing.
He will need to attend an NTT refresher course & then do a practical demo test. The VOSA office can arrange this with the local VE once he's done the refresher course.

hi i am posting this topic on behalf of my father-in-law who recieved a 2 year ban with a total of 63 points for the offence of inproper procedure. He has had his licence for over 3 years proir to the ban with no points against him and only got the initial ban due to following what his boss told him to do or else his job would be on the line. The boss has been issued with a permanant uk ban with 563 points and has since left the uk leaving my fathe in law in a awkward position.
The ban ended in october 07 and he now wants to get his licence back and carry on MOT Testing. He still has his MOT smart card.
HE is looking for info on what his options are in gaining back his licence and how to do it
regards and happy new year to everyone
