Hi Removaliser..If you're working on you're own and have to take your 4x4 out to do a Decelerometer test does that mean you have to shut up shop?? and what do you tell your customer??Who answers the phone?? Especially while you doing tests on your own??...You only doing three tests a day.. Not surprised... ...

But one of you is right I should have used wheel chocks.
The trouble with ATL's are that being on your own turns you in to a robot where you do everything as per the routine (I learn't using the "making it routine" DVD supplied by VOSA) then anything out of the ordinary such as air suspension throws you a bit.
Hi, "Making It Routine" CD is minimum? Go the extra?
Jack everything up as advised in VSI! CYA?
Citroen C5`s will lower on the ride height the moment you jack em up. Re Start the engine and allow it to recover, then continue.

jacked it under the wishbone, too frightened to jack the body, couldn't suss out the parking brake on the road test, the vsi totally confused me pressing brake pedal umpteen times however I did get it to come up on the display what it should say but not sure what to do after that.
Anyway did the usual thing and pulled the switch at 20mph and it stopped on 20% (made a lot of funny noises underneath though good job they are built like tanks) thank god the bloke lives in London and was only visiting for the day.

Hi Rem...........
Having not had the pleasure of such a vehicle, VSI shows that it should be jacked under body, is this the case or did you go for the wishbones for another reason.
How did the brake test go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Any problems?

Ok I looked at SN1 - 2007 use of an assistant, but I am not sure what you are getting at, I don't have an assistant, don't need one can't afford one on 3 tests per day.

Had a close shave today, Mot'd a range rover sport 2005 model for the first time, jacked up front end under the wishbones, then let it down but the air susp had droppped so I couldn't get the jack out.
Got some wood and put it under the wheels but forgot to chock the back wheels so when I lowered it, the car rolled forward, luckily the ramp has 2 bump stops at the end.
customer was watching as well, we both had to sit down after that one.
