you can carry on testing with a ban,obviously decelerometer test are out tho!in pre computer days you had to show your licence at refreshers so if one came up during your ban they pulled your ticket.only requirement now is to show your smart card so no longer an issue.all covered on vts device admin guide.switch on computer and learn.....

Yeah! How are you going to carry a decelerometer test, Richard?
at latest refresher course which was booked on computerisation, licencse was not requested by Trainer, although available if required.
You are required to inform VOSA of any changes however minor they might seem to you.

Not sure about a tester having to present a license now on refresher course, one of the past DVD's did say something about other evidence of identification could be used, this was because a road test is not part of an mot test, however if a tester is of the opinion a road test may be necessary, then the tester should not start the test, or if already testing it, should abort it stating the reasons why. A new tester should then start the test on his/her own smart card.

Yes you have to notify vosa, you can continue to test unless you are due a refresher whilst your ban is in force. You cant do the refresher as you have no licence at that time, then you have to stop. If no refresher due you are ok. Obviously no test driving.

| as i remember it on the training course you can still test if the garage & parking is on private land , i would still notify vosa & see what they say .
