| In all fairness I felt before the event that yes the seminars were a means for vosa to keep local garages informed and up to date which was fine apart from the fact that the local ve's did not attend but the coiuncil meetings were far too large ( the one I went to had at least twice as many attending as a seminar) and had no control from the floor and had very little opportunity for individuals to discuss points.

when I have attended seminars, I have witnessed the bitching as well,
Insead of leaving disgruntled hang around, let them whingers leave and then enjoy a nice relaxed conversation.

| I went a few months ago for the first time with some notes of things to discuss with vosa from local garages with the hope of getting some feedback to pass back but it was very much like the seminars in that a spokeman from vosa gave a short talk on what they plan for the coming months then it was opened up to the floor for a discussion which was taken over by a small few garage owners who only wanted to belittle vosa and tell them what a crap job they had done and were not putting anything constructive forward. I fell that apart from few free sandwiches it was a long night and a long drive to here a few big headed people from the trade moan about know problems without any thought about being proactive.

never been, so while I cannot help you, what was it like, what was being talked about ? and why the mixed feelings???

Is there any other VTS council memebers out there and what do you think to the meetings as I've only been to one and am planning on going to the next soon and have mixed feelings about the whole idea ?
