I have had this a few times now as we also sell these integrated rear light, brake light and indicator unit.

I contacted VOSA with this and they advised, as half the brake light/tail light changes colour when the indicators are operated then it is a failure. Reason for rejection: affected by the operation of another lamp. 

 

Therefore, by adding another set of indicators to the rear of the machine will still be a failure.
