Hi Mr Yamaha,
What Johnboy says is right, But!
The manaul also says that if the bike is dual purpose ie a trail bike or similar it does not need indicators. The citation is Off road tyres or Raised ground clearance if I remember correcctly, My own Supoer Motard stlye bike has no indicators and I passsed and advised when I tested it.

The manual states the following-:
If direction indicators are fitted they must meet the requirements of this inspection, but need not be fitted to a machine which:
. cannot exceed 30mph / 50kph, or
. was first used before 1 August 1986,
I guess this means your bike has to have them.

| i have a 1987 tzr250 it has no indicators fitted,although the wiring and switch are there, does it have to have them for the mot test?
