you think thats bad?just got back from south africa a few weeks back and some of the cars and driving practices beggar belief.not uncommon 4 vehicles to go past with missing doors/panels and in one case a wheel!was overtaken by a pickup at 80+mph with 14/15 people on the flatbed clinging on for dear life.the lions/sharks etc seem to be amongst the less effective predators!the latest safety drive seems to be along the lines of"lets keep the weekly death toll below 4 figures"felt safer in the shark cage than i did on the roads!
Ive just come back from France, I'm still appalled by the general condition of the cars over there! Not to mention the condition of some of the 'bike rear tyres Isaw. (NO test for bikes in France)
A further example of how Testing every two years can only be courting disaster.
This image was recently sent in to 'MOT Testing' - the vehicle it came from passed in March 2006, but this is how the lower front wishbone looked just one year later. A failed MOT and a potential motorway disaster averted.
