MotorSpecs.co.uk is a new motoring website that allows buyers, sellers or owners of vehicles to look up the manufacturer mpecs, optional equipment, market valuation, running costs and MOT history on any used car simply by entering the registration number.

MotorSpecs is very proud to announce the launch of its new motoring website that puts the “specs” back into used cars. MotorSpecs.co.uk allows anyone lookup the original manufacturers specification, optional equipment, current market value, annual running costs and MOT history of any car simply by entering the reg number and creating a MotorSpecs report.

The website uses a combination of manufacturer data, valuation data, MOT data and user generated content to build stunningly presented reports that can be viewed online, shared with others via email, saved to PDF or printed.

“Having just launched the new website we are really excited by the initial feedback. MotorSpecs offers such detailed data and presents it so well that people seem to be completely blown away by it.” said Michael Rochford, Managing Director of MotorSpecs.

Full manufacturer specs are available on any passenger vehicle registered in the UK from 1990 onwards, not including grey imports. That’s approximately 25m individual car specs in total. In addition to the full original manufacturer’s specification for the car, you’ll be provided with an accurate market valuation. The valuation will display the price of the vehicle when new, including the price of any optional extras which have been configured as well as the current market value of the vehicle and the current market value of those all-important optional extras. This can also be adjusted for mileage so you end up with a market value that is reflective of the actual car rather than a homogenised version of the car.

Annual running costs are also calculated and displayed within the report including fuel costs for the year as well as additional titbits such as the cost to fill the tank and what distance a full tank will get you. Other annual running costs included are insurance cost, road tax and annual servicing costs. An estimate of what it would cost to finance the car is also provided.

Users can customise their report by adding their own images, configuring the optional equipment, adjusting the current mileage, adding contact details and a selling price if required. Users may also upload their own service history to supplement the other data on the report. In addition, if the V5C document reference number is entered, all of the MOT History is automatically added to the report.

MotorSpecs is currently inviting buyers, sellers, traders, petrol heads or those of you who are just plain curious to try out its vehicle reports free. Just use the voucher code “maxfree” after entering a reg and you’ll be able to bypass payment on the site.
